Nice to see youre still making cartoons. Good work!

MihaP responds:

Damien!! Thanks for the review <3 how have you been?

What did you use for the cloth simulation? Really nice. Its that marvelous designer? Did you use Blender and Marvelous designer? It looks like Blender, did you use blender? Oh god please just tell me what you used.

EDIT: It says in the thingy to the left that you used Maya. I didnt know Newgrounds had this now. Im sorry. Is that Maya cloth sim? Thats really nicely done. Damn Maya is cool. What render engine is that? Renderman? Arnold? I used some maya cloth sim in the past myself but that turned out like shit. I ended up liking marvelous designer more.

RichChap responds:

yeah i mostly used marvelous designer. it's rendered in redshift :) thanks!

I recognize that greentext

a Misc classic

I remember watching TN stuff way back in 06. It's crazy to finally see something back from this team.
I'm very happy that the kickstarted passed and the project actually got finished.

Even though some of the voice acting was a bit meh, I found myself watching through the whole thing as one of those cartoons that would be on Adul Swim. Very nice storyline and character arch. The ending joke felt forced but it wasn't bad.
Really looking forward to a full on series for this, it'd be sad to see this go down as "another pilot".

In conclusion:
Loved it! Want more!

Tomorrows-Nobody responds:

Glad to be back with something good! Everyone needs to tell Adult Swim that it should be on their channel. They for some reason don't agree haha.

The ending joke was a little forced. There was originally another scene that happened after it with everyone back in group but we didn't like the way it was working.

Thanks for watching! -Eric

The music couldve been a bit more engaging but I love the linework on the eyes. Good job guys, the background is amazing as well!

jessejayjones responds:

Thanks dude! I agree, there's a lot I would still like to improve on, but it was a blast to work on! :)

Its hilarious to see so much production quality pumped into a tiny fart joke.

chluaid responds:

haha thank you. I didn't really intend this as just a fart joke though. I wanted to make a short introduction to each creature that has appeared in Brackenwood so far. This one happens to make farty noises and I attempt to explain how it feeds with that trunk and why it makes those sloshing and fart sounds (i.e. juices, gases). The creatures in upcoming episodes make different noises.

What is that? French?

Nice frame by frame and cool color palette. Hope you'll keep animating because youre pretty good at it.

ZeTrystan responds:

Yup, French! (with a accent from Quebec (Canada), ahah)

I hope as well! If I found time, I'll be sure to make another one! :> Thanks!

I think its kind of sad the final shot with the pancake face is cut off on the top. Could be better in terms of framing.
Oh well, you seem to got the comedy part down. Good contrasting facial expressions with some deadpan humor.
5/5

FloppySalad responds:

Yeah, Honestly I could've done better on the end bit. Just was sorta lazy and didn't feel like fixing it. Though I suppose if I wan't to make really good cartoons I shouldn't be lazy haha
Thank you for the review! Creative Criticism is always appreciated :)

software used?

aap responds:

I used TVPaint. I think you should try and ask more politely next time.

what was that, after effects?

TheRealNat23 responds:

Nothing was done in After Effects. The clouds were done in Photoshop, but everything else (like the animation) was done in Flash.
